Forces in 1 Dimension
Forces in 1 Dimension
Students use props such as balls, blocks and springs to explore and analyze simple forces associated with bodies in physical contact. They learn to use vector notation to represent these forces and to create and analyze free body diagrams. The change in velocity of a body is associated with a force applied to the body. The magnitude and direction of this velocity change is correlated with the body’s mass and the vector sum of forces on the body.
